Andy Warhol‘s former New York City townhouse is currently up for sale that was originally purchased by the pop art icon for a measly $60,000 back in 1959. Located on Lexington Avenue in NYC’s Upper East Side, the large 3,072 sq ft house served as Warhol’s home and studio for 15 years and where he created some of his most famous pieces – including the the initial rendition of Campbell’s Soup Cans (1962). The four bedroom townhouse has seen ownership from two different parties since Warhol moved from the residence, and has undergone a series of small restorations that include the addition of a brand new garden-level kitchen.
