Over the past few years, Pinterest has risen to the top of the social media landscape and is now considered one of the largest social websites online. Growing from the original 13 founders to hundreds of employees, how did the small company make space for it’s massive expansion? Well… with the help of three Architecture firms the result is a large, open work space in a restored warehouse that reflects the dynamic overall spirit of Pinterest. Inside the warehouse, old restored painted concrete walls frame the office spaces that feature exposed steel beams. On the bottom level, long shared tables encourage team-building, alongside various private sections throughout the large open space. The upstairs portion of the warehouse houses the cubicles, offices and other private sections are designated for personal work. The new Pinterest Headquarters is designed to house up to 300 employees, and is a fine example of a company building a creative working space. Check out the images below:
