Built on a plateaued area of Beverly Hills, the Laurel Way Residence by Whipple Russell Architects was built to offer it’s residents an intimate relationship with the surrounding environment. Boasting impressive views across Los Angeles, the Laurel Way Residence can be accessed through a 14-foot tall wooden door, cut out of the secluded façade presented on the street. The home’s living quarters feature contrasting materials, with dark chocolate tones against white floors and custom-made furnishings that are complimented by a variation of textures and materials. The house is surrounded by horseshoe shaped channels which embody the characteristics of a moat, adding a protective boundary without obscuring views. The moat flows into an infinity pool which serves as a mirror reflecting the surrounding landscape of Los Angeles. The Laurel Way Residence is highlighted by a five car garage showroom and an extensive guest suite which includes a writing studio, a gym and a private terrace overlooking the pacific ocean.
